prepare for trouble, we started our game...

...make it double, we're still choosing a name.

prepare for trouble, we started our game...

Lemon Games submitted our entry for the first part of IndieCade's Climate Jam 2025 this week! It's an informal design document detailing our plans for the project.

We're developing a narrative-driven farming game centered on aquaponics as a climate solution. For now, it's called "Sustain," but we're workshopping that title as we continue developing. Check out our submission here.

Climate Jam invites indie "creators from around the world to make games that explore solutions to address a rapidly changing planet."

This document was the deliverable for the "Ideation" portion of the five-week game jam. Climate Jam 2025 follows the Greenlight format, which divides the timeline into four steps: Ideation (we are here!), Prototyping, Production, and Release + Marketing.

This is my (ER) first game jam, so I appreciate the structure here. Thea is... less enthused. It also appears most of entrants are large teams—one has 12 people!—so we fear we may be at a disadvantage as such a small partnership. Still, we're looking forward to creating something cute + queer + poignant, as we do ⭐️

In future posts, we'll share more than we're submitting to the jam (character sheets! reference imagery!), so subscribe now and stay tuned to our progress:
